Neo News: Week in Review – February 19 – February 25

General Updates

Neo will have a footprint at ETHDenver 2024, with members from the community hosting a side event and joining a judge’s panel. The Smart Economy Podcast has a side event offering users free beer for interacting with Neo blockchain assets. The event is a collaborative effort between ITEM Systems, DENVER WALLS, Neo Global Development, and Ratio Beerworks. DENVER WALLS has released a video walkthrough of the campaign’s tap and redeem process. Also, COZ CEO Tyler Adams has been selected to be a Community Judge of projects submitted during the ETHDenver hackathon.

NNT released an article highlighting NeoCast, a blockchain-agnostic communication middleware and the winner of the Infrastructure category at the Neo APAC Hackathon grand finale. The project is designed to allow services to access both off-chain and on-chain data. By integrating with dApps and other applications, NeoCast allows users to be informed via push notification whenever a relevant event occurs.

GhostMarket added automatic contract discovery to its marketplace, meaning that all NFT collections on the Neo blockchain will be automatically added to GhostMarket for buying and selling rather than needing to be manually added by the team.

Carrot Swap launched a new incentivized TestNet campaign for users to participate and earn potential rewards on the launch of Neo X’s forthcoming non-custodial exchange.

Pixudi put its GrantShares proposal on-chain for another round of funding for the board racing game. It also announced integration with the Core DAO blockchain.

Flamingo shared statistics on the top tokens by volume, which included bNEO with approximately US $3.2 million, FLM with $2.86 million, and GAS with $1.03 million.

NNT Catch Up

NNT’s editors co-hosted Crypto Coffee and Blockchain Beer Spaces #7 on The Smart Economy Podcast X. Topics of discussion included the new Uniswap revenue share proposal, the Avalanche network halt, The Smart Economy Pod side event for ETHDenver, tapping the DENVER WALLS NFI plaques for free beer, and Neo nearing its first 100k wallets on N3.

ITEM Systems co-founder Tyler Adams’ op-ed was featured on Bitcoin.com, highlighting non-fungible items and how the real-life, tangible asset cryptographically connected to a digital twin can bring new utility to Web3’s NFT vertical. Examples of real-world use cases include brand and post-purchase activations, customer experiences (unique access to events or clubs), proof of physical ownership, and streamlined verifications.
