Celo and Rarible Forge Path for NFT Creators with New API Integration

Today, the Celo Foundation and Rarible announced the integration of Rarible’s new API solution on Celo, the blockchain network built for the real world and designed for fast, low-cost payments worldwide.

Through the integration, creators and developers building on Celo can leverage a robust toolkit of solutions for their decentralized applications (dApps) which include:

Real-time NFT indexer
Aggregated order book
Multi-chain support
Powerful trading SDK

This ongoing partnership marks a major step forward in the Celo ecosystem’s efforts to increase accessibility for mission-driven NFT creators around the world, leveraging an existing network of 1,000 projects in more than 150 countries, including NFT projects with real-world utility, such as:

Steward – a dynamic NFT collection funding climate non-profits dedicated to the conservation of the planet’s eight ecosystems and indigenous organizations
Ecosapiens – an eco-conscious collective that defends the climate with a perpetual carbon capture digital collectible series, whose dynamic Celosapien has evolved with Celo’s carbon offsets at the protocol layer
Plastiks – a marketplace for tokenized plastics recovery certificates (currently totaling 2.2M+ kgs of recovered plastic waste) with various partners, including the legendary football club FC Barcelona

With the introduction of Rarible API on Celo, developers can access real-time and historic data, seamlessly integrate NFTs into their platform, create custom dashboards, track ownership, embed NFT trading, and more. The expanded infrastructure offered for builders on Celo further unlocks a diverse range of use cases including wallets, Web3 games, and analytics platforms.

“The Rarible protocol integration with Celo marks new accessibility for developers and creators building NFT dApps. Rarible’s suite of tools, such as a real-time NFT indexer, an aggregated order book, and more, significantly increase the user-friendly solutions offered to builders within the ecosystem,” shared Kevin Tharayil, Chief of Staff for the Celo Foundation.
“The collaboration with Rarible is driven by our joint focus on empowering creators worldwide to build meaningful, mission-driven dApps leveraging NFTs.”
