Here’s How High XRP Might Surge After Bitcoin Halving
With the Bitcoin halving slated to occur next week, speculation surrounding the price of XRP after the event has gained momentum as top experts share intriguing insights.
Bitcoin’s (BTC) price movements typically influence the performance of other crypto assets, including XRP. In particular, crypto prices usually soar whenever there is a spike in BTC value, and vice versa.
With the highly anticipated Bitcoin Halving expected to occur by April 19 or 20, market watchers expect the event to pave the way for the next bull run.
Historically, prices of altcoins spike alongside BTC after the Bitcoin Halving. Consequently, analysts are expecting this upcoming Bitcoin Halving to usher in the same trend observed in previous market cycles.
It bears mentioning that the SEC v. Ripple lawsuit prevented XRP from recording significant gains during the last bull market. While other assets registered new all-time highs in 2021, XRP surged to around $1.98, down 48.43% from the ATH of $3.84 recorded in January 2018.
Interestingly, top market watchers and crypto prediction platforms believe XRP’s performance in this market cycle will be considerably different from the previous one.
This optimism stems from XRP receiving legal clarity in the Ripple lawsuit, where the judge declared the coin as a non-security on July 13.
