FBI Warns of Crypto Scams in Fake Work-From-Home Jobs

The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) issued an alert on June 4, highlighting a surge in cryptocurrency-related fraud involving bogus work-from-home opportunities. Victims are often tricked into making cryptocurrency payments to “unlock” additional earnings or access supposed profits, which directly benefit the scammers. The FBI strongly advises against making any crypto payments in the context of employment and encourages victims to report such scams to their Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).
