The sleuth unraveled the theft’s plot, starting with TICKER launching a presale on Coinbase’s Base platform. On March 16, TICKER initiated the presale, raising a total of 877 ETH worth $3.19 million via the Party App on Base.

As per the schedule, 24% of the tokens were expected to be Liquidity Provider (LP) Tokens and 71% for presale/airdrop. While 1% was reserved for the early contributors, 4% was meant for errors.

However, after the Token Generation Event, developer Jolan sold 13% of the supply for $900K, while the team sent him 15% to distribute the airdrop. Soon, the developer began laundering the funds by bridging Base’s ETH portfolio with Ethereum via Orbiter Finance. Later, he bridged everything to Solana through Mayan Swap and Allbridge.

Subsequently, Jolan taunted the team and the community via three now-deleted X posts. According to ZachXBT,

Jolan then went to X/Twitter to address the allegations and confirms he controls the stolen funds while saying he is “not sorry” for his actions taunting the people he rugged in three posts

In the following hours, Jolan was found bridging $536K of the stolen amount back to Ethereum. He spent 46 ETH worth $161k to buy Milady NFTs and started trading memecoins.
