Mable: Gas Hero places a strong emphasis on delivering a strategic gameplay experience where players make informed decisions about resource allocation, hero deployment, and alliances, as well as collaborate tactically to negotiate the game’s challenges and progress their positions.

Unlike traditional approaches that limit NFT availability through mint prices, Gas Hero differentiates itself by distributing in-game NFTs through various community-based giveaways.

Mable: Our core strategy revolves around embedding gameplay mechanics that emphasise game theories amongst players and resource optimization. Given Gas Hero’s foundation as a social and strategy game, the exchange of representations is intrinsic to the game loop.

Consequently, ownership and trading of NFTs become essential components for players to navigate and excel within the game. By aligning with the integration of NFTs with the core gameplay experience, we ensured that their presence enhances rather than detracts from the overall gaming experience.

Q: How does Gas Hero reflect community involvement and the efforts of its diverse team within its NFT ecosystem?

Mable: A good example of this is our UGC Genesis Design campaign; prior to the game’s launch, we extended an invitation to our community, spanning three months, to submit their creative interpretations of the 48 Hero Code Names featured in the game.

By aligning our incentives with the community, we reinforced a sense of ownership and belonging to the community among our players.

Mable: One of the primary challenges we encountered was accurately reflecting the status of in-game items, such as whether they were locked, had a limited lifespan, or had been fully utilised. Balancing the accessibility to these items for users while ensuring their on-chain status was accurately reflected required meticulous optimisation of the smart contract logic.

This aspect of integration presented uncharted territory, as it had not been extensively explored in the past. Nevertheless, we embraced the opportunity to pioneer an unprecedented social and strategy simulation on the blockchain.

Mable: Gas Hero boasts a diverse player base with significant presence in various regions, particularly Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, LATAM, and Europe. Our user demographics reflect a global audience, with a notable concentration of players from East Asian and Southeast Asian (SEA) regions.

This demographic’s familiarity with NFT gaming mechanics, such as mystery boxes and NFT breeding, contributes to the seamless integration of NFTs within Gas Hero’s gameplay experience.
