Miners Can Now Pay Electricity Bills with Shiba Inu and XRP
FCF Pay has announced a new offering that allows Bitcoin miners to pay their electricity bills using crypto assets, including Shiba Inu and XRP.
Canada-based crypto payments platform FCF Pay has further expanded its support for XRP and Shiba Inu (SHIB).
In an X post today, FCF Pay announced that its customers, especially crypto miners, can pay their electricity bills directly with cryptos, including XRP, SHIB, BTC, and ETH.
“Bitcoin Miners, Pay your electricity bills directly with Bitcoin (they also accept ETH, Litecoin, XRP, and many others) using FCF’s Pay Bills feature,” the company tweeted.

Notably, customers are required to search for their favorite electricity provider on the FCF website. In the event that the electricity provider is not listed among FCF’s list of billers, then customers can take an alternative route by paying for their energy bills using their crypto card.
FCF Adds Chase Bank to List of Billers
The development comes shortly after FCF announced an initiative that allows Chase Bank customers to pay for their mortgages and credit card loans using crypto.

It bears mentioning that customers can pay their electricity bills with crypto via the FCF Bills feature. Recall that FCF Pay launched the bills feature last month.
The service allows users to manage their finances and pay bills with cryptos across over 20,000 American companies, including PayPal, American Airlines, Walmart, and Amazon, among others.
FCF Pay recently added Honda and HSBC to the list of supported companies. While HSBC customers can pay their mortgages and loans with crypto, Honda users can now purchase vehicles using FCF Pay’s supported coins, like SHIB and XRP.
Billers Don’t Accept Direct Crypto Payments
For clarity, all American companies on FCF Pay’s Bill Service do not accept direct crypto payments. FCF Pay made this known in a recent blog post, saying:
“First and foremost, exactly NONE of the nearly 21 thousand companies featured on the system are accepting direct crypto payments via this system. That’s right, zero.”
According to the announcement, all crypto payments are first transferred to the FCF gateway before they are converted to fiat by an automated system.
Once the conversion is done, the users’ bills are paid in fiat. Per FCF, it usually takes between 24 to 48 hours for payments to be completed.
