General Updates

Neo had a presence at Binance Blockchain Week in Dubai with a booth in the main exhibition hall. Neo launched the Neo X Grind Hackathon main event, co-hosted with support from IOSG Kickstarter, Web3Labs, Foresight Ventures, and Bitget. The hackathon, which includes over US $22 million in prizes and grants, is aimed at discovering and empowering talented developers as they create innovative projects on Neo X, Neo’s EVM-compatible sidechain.

Neo suffered a malicious attack on the X/Twitter account. The bad actor leveraged a suspicious third-party app to gain access to the official Neo Blockchain account, allowing the malicious user to make posts and direct messages via the Neo Blockchain account. The Neo team could not revoke permissions due to a flaw in X/Twitter’s system, however the issue has since been resolved.

Neo announced it will be a partner at Thailand Blockchain Week, which will take place at the EMSPHERE shopping center in the UOB Live event venue on Nov. 9 and 10 in Bangkok. The two-day event is part of a series that will take place before and after Ethereum DevCon.

Flamingo Finance shared new information regarding the upcoming release of FLOCKS, including FLUND migration details and exit fee removal. Existing FLUND holders are the only users that will be able to enter FLOCKS before the start of Epoch 1. This opportunity will be available for approximately one week and ensures that investors will receive a 1:1 ratio of FLM (from FLUND) to FLOCKS. Additionally, due to changes to token distributions in Wave 3, FLUND has income from several token sources that are not converted to FLM. Rather than updating the contract to fix this issue, the Flamingo team has decided to pay out these assets as part of the Epoch 1 dividends.
