Ripple Developers Floats Meme Contest in Year-End Community Boost
Developers of Ripple Labs Inc. have recently initiated a meme contest as part of their year-end community engagement efforts.
The Ripple Developers Meme Contest
RippleX, the open developer platform for the XRP Ledger has introduced a unique and entertaining challenge for its developers and community members dubbed the #builtonXRPL Challenge. This initiative adds a touch of humor and creativity to the community and allows participants to win a trip to the Apex Developers Summit.
The challenge encourages developers to showcase their projects by creating memes incorporating the #builtonXRPL badge. RippleX has actively promoted the challenge, urging developers to submit their best memes before the deadline. The call to action from Ripple Developers emphasizes the community’s spirit and solidarity, making it a memorable way to conclude 2023.
“Devs! Last call to submit your best meme for the #BuiltOnXRPL social challenge! Get started with the #BuiltOnXRPL badges now,” the announcement from Ripple Developers on its social media channels reads, encouraging participants to embark on this creative journey.
XRPL’s 2023 Advancements
While the meme contest adds a touch of lightheartedness to the community, the underlying technology powering Ripple and XRP Ledger has experienced remarkable growth and achievements throughout the year.
On December 30, the XRP Ledger achieved an all-time high of processing 6.8 million transactions per day. This milestone surpassed the previous record of approximately 5 million transactions per day set in November 2021, underlining the growing adoption and scalability of the XRP Ledger.
November also marked another milestone as Bishop Fox, a leading security firm, conducted individual audits for both the XLS-38 bridge and the EVM sidechain on XRP Ledger.
Looking ahead to 2024, RippleX’s Chief Technology Officer, Joel Schwartz, shares an insightful vision for the future in his report titled “RippleX 2024: A Visionary Outlook into the Future of Blockchain.”
A particularly exciting development enabled by the Cross-Chain bridge is the introduction of an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible sidechain. Developed in collaboration with Ripple and Peersyst, this sidechain establishes a vital link between the XRP Ledger and the Ethereum ecosystem.
One key highlight is the upcoming Cross-Chain Bridge Amendment for the XRP Ledger, which is poised to enter the voting process in 2024. This amendment is a significant step forward, opening new possibilities for interoperability and collaboration within the blockchain space.
