Shiba Inu Lead Excitedly Welcomes This New Development
Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama is excited as Shibacals commences the delivery of SHIB-themed Champion hoodies.
Shytoshi Kusama, the pseudonymous lead developer of Shiba Inu, has reacted to an update from Shibacals, a unique in-real-life component of the SHIB ecosystem.
Notably, Shibacals shared an update yesterday on X (formerly Twitter), stating that it has sent the first batch of Shiba Inu-themed Champion hoodies to buyers.
“1st batch of hoodies are now being sent. The full process will take 2-3 weeks,” Shibacals noted.
According to the announcement, the first batch contains a total of 398 hoodies. However, Shibacals said its portal is still open to enable other Shiba Inu enthusiasts to place their orders.
Interestingly, the Shibacals handler also announced a special offer by slashing the price from $75 to $55.
Shiba Inu Lead Reacts
Expectedly, the Shibacals update stirred excitement among members of the Shiba Inu community. Reacting to the update, Shiba Inu’s lead developer posted a “party proper” emoji to celebrate the feat.

Shibacals is the official Shiba Inu studio that aims to link non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and physical items. The project employs NFC chips to digitally authenticate real-world collections, thus boosting the value of these items.
Shibacals Records Massive Progress
Despite making its debut in June, Shibacals has recorded major milestones within a few months. Shibacals has already formed a partnership with American multinational tech firm Hewlett-Packard (HP), which will print all physical products using its 3D technology.
Furthermore, with Shibacals, the Shiba Inu community can produce premium quality items for themselves, businesses, or the community. Notably, the team can deliver these items anywhere in the world via UPS Global Shipping.
Shibacals Contest Design
Recall that Shibacals announced its inaugural hoodie contest in June to select five designs from the community. The team behind the project stated that it had already chosen two designs from two top community members – SirShibsAlot and ShibHead.
However, it called on the community to submit their designs to fill the remaining three spots. Per the announcement, the winners of the contest will receive a percentage of the proceeds from sales. The designs were selected using five criteria: representation, coolness, originality, and creativity.
After selecting the designs, Shibacals announced the public sale of the Shiba Inu-themed Champion hoodies with the tag “Shiba Inu: 1st edition.” The public sale opened on August 6 and ended on August 16, 2023, according to Shibacals. As part of its marketing strategy, Shibacals announced that it will give buyers of its hoodies a free tote bag.
Besides the hoodie design contest, Shibacals also announced a giveaway to distribute 30 Champion hoodie prototypes to the community.
