Shiba Inu: Leading Non-Custodial Wallet Integrates Shibarium for Its 1M+ Users
Popular wallet provider Frontier announced it has now integrated support for the Shibarium network, unlocking the L2 for its wide user base of over 1 million customers.
The Shibarium network has continued on its upward trajectory, with more wallets and exchanges adding support for the layer-2 blockchain.
Non-custodial wallet provider Frontier is the latest to join the list, announcing this week that users can now interact with the Shibarium network using its browser extension and mobile application.
The latest development unlocks Shibarium to a wide audience. Frontier wallet claims to have over one million users and offers unique features that set it apart from incumbents.
For instance, the wallet includes a feature that detects phishing and malicious websites when users try to access them. Frontier will bring these unique experiences to Shibarium users as part of its latest network integration.
According to the wallet provider, users will have the option to trade, earn, and stake ShibaSwap (BONE). Additionally, they can sign up to become Shibarium validators and manage their stake accounts using Frontier Wallet.

While the latest development stands to benefit Shibarium users, it also comes as a major boost for Frontier Wallet as the exchange can now tap into Shiba Inu’s vast community.
There are more than 1.38 million SHIB holders, with the cryptocurrency project also boasting one of the most actively engaged communities in the industry.
More Integrations Coming for Shibarium
Frontier integration of Shibarium has raised hope within the Shiba Inu community that more exchanges and wallets would eventually support the fledgling layer-2 network. Such integrations ensure sufficient on and off-ramps for blockchain users, thus boosting liquidity.
Notably, Shibarium has made significant progress in securing top-tier exchange and wallet integrations. In the past month, the popular crypto exchange Gate.io became one of the leading exchanges to add support to the network.
Other platforms, such as Ledger, Atomic Wallet, and Exodus Wallet, have all also signified interest in enabling Shibarium transactions.
