South Korean Crypto Exchanges Experience Unusual Increases in Trading Volume in 5 Altcoins
Unusual increases in the transaction volumes of several altcoins were detected on Upbit, South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange.
The list of altcoins in question includes GRT, ADA, ARDR, WAVES and DOT.
The Graph (GRT) showed a significant increase in trading volume on the 4-hour chart. On Upbit, average 50 4-hour volume rose from $665k to 1 million, a 92.30% increase. During the same period, volume on Binance showed a change of 14.72%.
The Cardano (ADA) 1-hour chart revealed an impressive 194.43% increase in trading volume on Upbit, with the average 50 1-hour volume jumping from $188K to $555K. On Binance, the change remained relatively modest at 1.41%.
Ardor (ARDR) saw a staggering 492.57% increase in 4-hour trading volume on Upbit, jumping from an average of $4 million to $22 million. On Binance, the volume increased from 673 thousand to 932 thousand on average, recording a change of 38.49%.
Trading volume on the 1-hour chart of Waves (WAVES) experienced a significant increase of 210.37% on Upbit, with the average volume rising from $271 thousand to $841 thousand. Binance saw a more conservative increase of 26.22%, with volume rising from an average of $107k to $135k.
Finally, trading volume on the Polkadot (DOT) 1-hour chart witnessed a dramatic increase of 417.53% on Upbit, with the average volume of $13K rising to $65K. On Binance, the volume increased from an average of 62 thousand dollars to 89 thousand dollars, showing a change of 42.21%.
