Sunbeam activates, marking upgrade Phase in The Graph Network
Sunbeam, the second stage for the Sunrise of decentralized data, has now been activated, being the start of the upgrade window.
It was in October 2023 when The Graph ecosystem worked out a game plan and pledged to implement it on the Sunrise of decentralized data, providing the option for all hosted service users to be able to upgrade their subgraphs to The Graph Network.
The upgrade window starts with immediate effect and finishes on the 12 of June, wherein it is mandatory for hosted service users to scale their subgraphs to The Graph Network. This will have the backing of the recently introduced features such as 100,000 free monthly queries and payments to be carried out by credit card or GRT. Added to that will be gasless scaling for every hosted service subgraph. The hosted service endpoints will become inactive when the upgrade window is shut. Scaling is possible via some clicks, and the decentralized network will boost the subgraphs in almost no time.
The Graph provides data and information about the decentralized internet. Being the real decentralized marketplace that brought in subgraphs, The Graph is now Web3’s way of indexing and connecting with blockchain data. From the time it was established in 2018, large volumes of builders have created subgraphs for dApps throughout more than forty blockchains, such as Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Celo, as well as Fantom, Gnosis, and Avalanche.
With the growing requirement for data within Web3, The Graph steps into a new space, focusing on fresh data solutions and query languages to ascertain that the decentralized protocol can help every use case, even in the future.
The Graph Network is looked after by The Graph Foundation. In turn, The Graph Foundation is looked after by the Technical Council. The Graph ecosystem comprises multiple companies such as Edge of Node, StreamingFast, Semiotic Labs, and others.
